An FYI
Came across this over on Wingspan's (TooStoned's GLBT center)site just now and thought I'd pass it along to those who are interested in signing the petition to do away with this idiotic ban (of denying gay men who admit to them at donation time that they've had sex with another man) from donating blood that the FDA still has (and had since 1983)and makes the Red Cross follow.
The site is: LetUsGive.com.

"We're Tigre and Bunny and We Like the Boom"
I just had to. It's been playing in my mind now for quite some time and I finally took a look to see if YouTube had it.
Not in Good Taste
Now, I usually like to think that I can appreciate the humor in most things but this cartoon:
by Sean Delonas and found here in today's NY Post was very NOT funny, in my opinion. I may have the mind to write or call the Post on Monday and complain. If anyone else wants to drop them an opinion, the paper's contact information is here.

Blah!
There's nothing like feeling the pain after the novicane wears off after you've had a couple of roots yanked outta yer jaw!
Yeah, an old tooth that had root canal a couple of decades back, the crown decided to fall off about a year ago and refused to remain recemented back in place, so the dentist (after seeing the recent x-ray) decided that it was the better idea to finally yank out that tooth's roots. (they were beginning to fall apart).
Ick! I don't like pain.

OMG! I never knew The Flying Lizards did a video for this song!! By some off chance, I did a search on the band's name and voila! There it was!

Off With Her Head!
I was meandering around Archie McPhee's website and spotted this Marie Antoinette action figure (they have several other hysterical ones as well). I was rolling on the floor! Especially after this evening's episode of "Dr. Who"
Here's the rest of their action figure line-up.

Just Beautiful
Was meandering through YouTube and came across this Sarah Vaughn cover of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". I never heard her sing it before and it's WONderful. I started listening to her about 20 years ago or so and fell in love with her voice. Thought I'd share.

Vicious Snack Foods!
A certain Cheap Blue Scottsdalian sent me this in the mail and I received yesterday. I just love it! It now proudly hangs on my fridge door.
It reminds my of those stickers that were tres popular when I was in Jr. High School back in the mid-70's that played around with the names and designs of then-existing products.
Thanx, Brian!
P.S. At first I though that read "Brian Filled"

Linus - All Grown Up
Forgot I wanted to steal this for here! I was going through some fluckr fave pix looking for another pic and came across this one done by Profressional Photographer Extraordinaire Violentz (aka Patrick). So before I space it again, I nabbed it.
Fire in the Sky, Grey in the Garden
Here's a couple more sunset shots posted cobalt123 over on fluckr since the other day. Absolutely gorgeous, ain't they?

While checking out my blog stats a few minutes ago, I noticed that there were a few referrals to here from the Grey Gardens the Musical dot com, a website I didn't know existed (it's the website for the show now that it's officially on Broadway).
I wondered how people visiting that site would be aware of lil' ol' me all the way out here so I moseyed over there to take a look around. Turns out that they posted a link to where I posted the article on Sept. 24th about TCM airing a GG documentary on Oct. 29th. It's listed on "The Buzz" page's "Blog and Web" section of the musical's site.
A nano second of fame! ;-)

My Brain Hurts!!
Oh my dearest lawdy lawd! My poor lil' brain!! I just got done taking a 2 hour, 97 question test on the musculoskeletal system. Cheezus Herbert Christ on a crutch AND toast points!!!!What a bitch of a test!
One of my classes this semester is Medical Terminology II and this was chapt. 15 in the book. The class done completely on line (the only thing I gotta so up for at the school is for the final, which I'm not looking forward to). The wonderment of the existance of home computers and the existance and access to the internet is being able to do classes on line so you can sit there either in yer tightie whities or completely nekkid and do yer work. But boy howdy!!! Some classes are NOT for the intimidated or with fucked up memories! Thank Zod I gave up smoking something many years ago.

Arizona Sunsets
One of the great things about Arizona is the sunsets. Many a-time, they're gorgeous, breath-taking. The above two are great examples.
These were taken by cobalt123, while she was on a business trip that took her near/around Kingman which is in the northwest corner of the state near where Arizona, Nevada, California, and Utah meet.
